An exciting opportunity for a Chemical Analyst to join our team at Imperial Tobacco Netherlands!

As a Chemical Analyst, you will play a crucial role within our laboratory department in Joure, operating under the regulatory lab services & special analytics discipline within our Group Routine Analytics department based in Germany. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring compliance and operational excellence within our organisation. 

Principle Accountabilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee assigned laboratory activities including standard and specific analyses on obtained samples.
• Coordinate and conduct analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various analytical techniques and instruments such as GC, HPLC, KF, and standard laboratory equipment.
• Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in work processes, maintaining high-quality standards for raw materials and products according to specified procedures and ISO 17025 quality system.
• Analyse and interpret data obtained from analyses, calculate and report results accurately, and document research methods and findings in Dutch and English.
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues and users.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in conducting laboratory analyses, preferably in a manufacturing or regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in using analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and KF.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation and documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 quality standards and SOPs.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.
• Commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area.
