The Role

As part of the broader Global Supply Chain organisation and the Procurement function, the Procurement Buyer will be leading on the sourcing and management of Indirect Procurement Categories such as advertising and promotion , IT, facilities management & utilities and professional services for the UKI Cluster and Head Office Functions.

 

As our Procurement Buyer you will join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of a small UKHOI Procurement Team, responsible for commercial agreements and optimising value for money across Imperial Brands
  • Support the UKHOI Business Partner with the deployment of the procurement strategy and supplier risk
  • Conducting strategic and tactical sourcing activities within the category and commercial contracts' negotiation 
  • Collaborating with key business stakeholders to ensure oversight of 3rd party of activity and understanding of future opportunities that require Procurement support
  • Follow-up and act on supplier performance data 
  • Work with GBS (Global Business Services) in relation to operational process, compliance, deployment and issue resolution 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience of managing a Procurement portfolio 
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven track record to influence and manage internal and external stakeholders, building and managing strong working relationships
  • Strong, demonstrable ability to collaborate in a multi-cultural environment
  • Able to deal with a changing environment
