The Role

For our PLM team in Hamburg, we are looking for a PLM Solution Architect (m/f/d).

The PLM Architect will be responsible for creating the PLM architectures and designs, whilst overseeing and providing technical guidance to projects delivering relevant solutions. In doing so, the Solution Architect will seek opportunities to build out and leverage existing components of the platform and reusable services.

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform hands-on solution design, solution architectures, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects
• Ensure solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements
• Act as a liaison between Technical team, Vendors and Business Partners, and Enterprise Architecture to drive implementations
• Be recognised as a functional expert in relevant Domain Architecture
• Conduct Solution Architecture reviews with project teams prior to design and development activities and ensure solution is scalable, is aligned with internal product roadmaps and meets customers’ business requirements
• Guide technical team & vendors to deliver a flexible and scalable solutions
• Work with offshore teams as required
• Participate in shaping demand activities and internal initiatives as required

Skills & Experience Required

• PLM data modelling, integration patterns, architecture best practices and offerings, including licensing options
• Ability to assess technology maturity, identify gaps and shape an end-to-end digital blueprint and technology roadmap
• Proven experience with the Aras Innovator product
• Experienced in supporting business development activities
• FMCG background and experience (desirable)
• Extensive experience in systems development as well as delivery life cycle requirements and design
• Strong Information analysis, modelling and database design skills
• Vast expertise in emerging data technologies, including Big Data and ‘as a service’ architectures
• Strong leadership, problem solving, communication, relationship building and networking/ stakeholder management skills
• Fluent oral and written English language skills
