The role

Here at Imperial Brands we have an exciting opportunity for experienced Workday Specialist to join our dynamic and international Global HR Technology team based at our head office in Bristol. Reporting into the HR Technology Lead, you will be a key member of the team providing global support of the Workday system to the business. In this role you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including, build and configuration of the system, resolution of system issues, identifying and delivery continuous improvement for the system and training end users.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide technology support on complex HR cases in the hire to retire employee life cycle
  • Support Workday enhancement projects in line with continuous improvement agenda
  • Provide ‘hands-on’ expertise within Workday to investigate issues and queries
  • Deliver Tier 3 technology services to employees, raised through cases which are generated through the CRM ticketing system
  • Deliver detailed technology training and support global HR
  • Evaluate Workday updates via the release management process, providing recommendations and support EUA testing
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for improved efficiencies within the business process framework

Skills & experience

Essential

  • Workday HCM Fundamentals or proven experience working in a Workday business/project
  • Previous experience in broad HR Technology systems, design and configuration
  • Experience supporting systems in a BAU environment on Workday or other HR systems
  • Strong Workday configuration skills in multiple Workday HCM modules
  • Proven ability to manipulate and transform data to facilitate the management of information within Workday
  • Ability to translate functional requirements to technical teams.
  • Good knowledge of business process mapping and HR business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of system testing approaches
  • Proficient MS Office Excel skills
  • Good planning and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and work with key stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience and knowledge of other technical systems (i.e. ServiceNow, Concur, Talentlink)
