The role

For our Print and Packaging team in Hamburg, we are looking for a Senior Packaging and Print Engineer (m/f/d)!

What are your major duties?

• Leading the development innovative packaging and print concepts with a consumer centric mindset including pretotyping and prototyping in close collaboration with categories and insight teams. This includes sustainable packaging solutions to deliver Imperial Brands ESG ambitions
• Leading complex packaging & print related projects from ideation to launch with focus on discovery & packaging concept development. Supporting packaging realisation workstream towards the implementation including IP checks and the qualification and specification of all needed materials and drawings.
• Maintaining an ongoing awareness of emerging technologies, machinery and supplier skills to ensure the delivery of consumer led solutions at appropriate costs.

Who are you?

• A degree level qualification in Science based subject – preferably Packaging, Print or Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design
• Advanced experience in the discovery and development of different packaging & print solutions combined with an agile approach of test and learn with consumers
• Very good sense for experimenting, learning and improving fast and you are curious to discover new things by networking with internal or external partner
• Advanced project management skills, as well as communication and stakeholder management skills with fluent English.
