The role

The Regional Marketing Project Manager (Combustibles) will support the Head of Regional Marketing Manager (Europe or AAA) Combustibles in driving alignment between centrally led consumer and portfolio strategy and commercial planning / decision-making in clusters and markets, as well as supporting clusters in driving key strategic priorities (Must Win Battles) and performance.

You will have a regional remit spanning consumer marketing and portfolio management. You will have an overview of all marketing and brand-related activities happening in respective clusters for the region and will support in ensuring that centrally led strategy is embedded in markets and enables in year P&L delivery.

You will also be the go-to-person for clusters to drive performance and key priorities/ must Win Battles.

Please note: This role is based in Bristol where we work on a 50 / 50 hybrid working model; therefore you will need to be in the office 2 days per week. The role will also include some European travel approximately 1 - 2 times per month. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the co-creation of Combustible Portfolio/ Brand Strategy. Ensure that regional brands are optimally positioned to drive success across relevant consumer segment leveraging local consumer knowledge and central marketing expertise
  • Support clusters in creating BP and facilitate MEP by ensuring consumer centric initiative plans that support BP targets
  • Ongoing assessment of BCs for new launches incl. feasibility and alignment with all relevant teams to enable markets achieving their BP goals
  • Represent Clusters at group combustible forums and drive decision making centrally with category/ portfolio/ brand/ consumer teams
  • Participate in strategic thinking, integrating, and inputting cross-market viewpoints and driving centrally led strategy into clusters, enabling in-year P&L delivery
  • Manage operational projects at the regional level, working by leading and coordinating cross-functional teams working in an agile way to achieve key regional objectives
  • Act as a go-to-person for regional clusters to drive performance and key priorities/ MWB and for other combustible teams such as the M&PM or Insights team
  • Champion the consumer and drive adoption of best practice from & into region

Education, Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

  • Experience of marketing & brand management within an FMCG business
  • Experience within a marketing role in a local and / or global level
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Previous experience in marketing, brand activation or trade marketing roles
  • Experience of using consumer and market insight to drive commercial gain
  • Excellent communication and presenting skills
  • Highly collaborative & experience of working with multiple stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of the internal and external environment, drivers, enablers and challenges
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills in a complex matrix organisation
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English 
  • Able to commit to European travel 1-2 per month
