The Role

The main purpose of this role is to work in close collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Strategy Function and business unit stakeholders to facilitate the decision making for evaluating, selecting, and prioritizing initiatives and making the best possible use of given resources.

This role operates on Project Portfolio level, supporting the strategic decision making and reporting processes across multiple hierarchy levels and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Facilitate the project intake and ideation process.
  • Ensure alignment of project and programme reporting to GSC Project Portfolio standards.
  • Analyse financial reporting input and support the improvement of budget forecast accuracy.  
  • Facilitate the evaluation, selection, and prioritization of projects according to given governance processes.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards, graphics, and periodic reports for executive leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and monitor constraints and risks on Portfolio level to support dependency management.
  • Develop and maintain communications and reporting about the project portfolio to stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of portfolio management process improvements – incl. setup of KPIs, Root Cause Analysis and Change Control processes, implementation of Portfolio Management tools.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in professional data analytics, visualization, and report generation.
  • Expert skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS Power BI, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Tableau and other data and information Business Intelligence tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good process thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships within the team and business unit stakeholders.
  • Fundamental understanding of Project Portfolio Management (vs. Project Management or Product Portfolio Management).
  • Ability to work in a changing environment, evaluate priorities and modify work plans as necessary and proactively.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Please note: the execution of projects, monitoring of regular Supply Chain operations or the work on Imperials Product Categories are not part of this role or its development profile.
