For our Finance team, we are looking for a new Cluster Internal Control & Compliance Manager (m/f/d).

The role and key responsibilities:

Review & assess the Internal Controls for the Cluster for completeness and effectiveness in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan and making use of the latest Group Control Matrix. Ensure implementation of agreed actions by agreed timelines. Coordinate Risk assessment process for the Cluster. Provide regular updates to the CLT concerning the latest status of the internal control environment. Ensure proper documentation & communication of Policies & Procedures in line with Group and local legal requirements. Be the primary contact for Group Internal Audit.

The role will encompass:

• Create the Annual Audit Plan and agree with Cluster Finance Director.
• Conduct internal audit reviews according to Annual Audit Plan and issue final report to the Reemtsma Board of Directors. Based on internal audit reviews track the implementation of the agreed recommendations.
• Review and assess the most up-to-date Group Control Matrix in accordance with the agreed monthly process and ensure that it is up to date, accurate and improvement actions are delivered to deadlines.
• Review Group Policies and Procedures on a regular basis and inform the key stakeholders of any amendments. Ensure local Policies & Procedures are in line with Group policies and local legal requirements.
• Ensure standardised ways of working and control documentation wherever possible across the Cluster. Propose improvements required.
• Ensure and verify proper approval process in line with the Group/Cluster/Market Authorization Matrix.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the key business risks across all the Cluster markets and wherever possible assist to minimising those business risks. If required by Division/Group work on the current Group Risk Assessment Summary.
• Organize regular meetings with the CLT to review compliance related topics and improvements to strengthen the controls environment.
• Primary Contact for any Cluster Group Internal Audit.
• Sharing and coordinating best practices between the markets.
• Coordinate with the external Auditors providing appropriate information per requests.
• Consult & assist in special business projects where necessary.

Your profile

• You have a master’s degree in economics and business or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in key finance roles
• Well-developed analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• Certifications on internal audit are desirable.
• Fluent in oral and written English, German desirable
• Readiness for business trips
