The Role

To manage the functional Procurement policy & processes, ensuring alignment with business risk appetite, integration with adjacent processes and compliance & governance through implementation of good practice.

As role holder you would own the definition & implementation of Procurement policies & processes used within the S2P process. You would work with other process owners to ensure full integration of the Procurement process as part of the overall Business Process suite. As capability manager, you will own the roll out, implementation & training around Procurement Policy & Process whilst ensuring compliance & governance to process, providing metrics around compliance & remediation.

Additional Information

  • As Capability Manager, you would define, develop & deliver all functional Policies as needed.
  • Define & develop relevant functional processes, ensuring integration & alignment as part of the overall business process suite.
  • Is the functional owner for all process & policy issues, ensuring alignment across all all-functional areas.
  • Ensure governance & exception reporting KPI’s are both leading & lagging to enable timely decision making.
  • Work alongside Group Risk in aligning on the policies and any auditing requirements.

Principle Accountabilities

  • The Manager Process & Policy is responsible for developing, delivering & managing the Procurement Policies & Processes used in the function.
  • Is also responsible for ensuring alignment & integration of Procurement policies & process within the e2e suits of business processes.
  • Is responsible for the training & implementation of Policy & Process, ensuing functional & user demands are met.
  • Is responsible for version control & update of all policies owned.
  • Is responsible for alignment with Group Risk around the policy content & risk tech stack used within Procurement as part of the e2e S2P process.
  • Is responsible for governance & compliance reporting as part of the functional metrics on policy & process.

Key Skills, Education & Experience

  • Degree education preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of Procurement processes from an operational perspective.
  • Detailed understanding of development of Procurement Policy & how to roll out and implement policy.
  • Experience of implementing Procurement policies, including relevant training and ongoing management of policy compliance.
  • Experience in working within a matrix environment, especially with Process Owners, Group Risk functions & technology experts.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Experience in planning, organizing and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong numerical, financial and data analysis skills
  • Strong database and data manipulation abilities
  • Strong English language skills – written and verbal.
  • Adapt at working in both team environment and solo
  • Microsoft Office abilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Adapt at dealing with stakeholders on varied levels.
