The role

Business Change Lead
Bristol or London (Location Flexible)
Interim contract
Competitive Day Rate (Inside IR35)

The purpose of this role is to plan, design and lead the deployment of the business change programme into the markets – in essence defining the strategic plan for how change shows up in the business.  Success in the role means the change is well planned and lands well in the business and the markets are prepared to absorb and lead the changes. The role reports to the overall Programme Director and will have a small change team report to them.

Key accountabilities

  • Creates the deployment plan – working through how best to phase and sequence the change.  Tests and validates this plan with a key stakeholder group.
  • Works through a process to determine what will ensure success e.g. creation of pilots and test sites.
  • Manage and maintain the change network (Central Deployment managers, Deployment Leads, Local Comms Resource)
  • Integrates change approach with existing deployment approach
  • Liaises with PMO around proposed deployment plans from the design workstreams, communicates proposed deployment plans to deployment leads to drive the development of local plans, manage communication back to the PMO and workstreams around changes to the proposed deployment plans
  • Work with PMO to ensure that aggregated deployment plans are reflected in overall deployment plans (and value case)
  • Liaise with value case workstream and design workstreams to validate the savings and benefits at the local level via the deployment network
  • Liaise with value case workstream to ensure integration with the FY21 financial management process and FY22 financial planning process
  • Liaise with the P&O Implementation, ER, retention and location team to provide input and validate assumptions with local teams
  • Work with local deployment teams to assess change readiness
  • Work with local deployment teams to conduct change tracking with local teams
  • Works with the local deployment teams to embed changes successfully into the local markets

Skills & experience

  • Experience in leading change programmes in a large global business 
  • Experience leading a deployment team in major change programmes 
  • Strong focus on consumer led business change, ideally within FMCG
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with executive level stakeholders
