For our Business Control department we are looking for a new team member! We are searching for candidates for the following role based in Oosterhout (NL); Benelux Financial Analyst.

The Role

The Finance Analyst owns the financial forecasting process and the execution of this process within the organization by closely working together with all relevant cross functional stakeholders ensuring everybody has aligned insights and take-outs in regard to the underlying drivers of our financial performance.

What You’ll Do

  • You own the financial Excel modeling tools and are responsible for the accuracy, efficiency and continued development of these tools;
  • You’re responsible for the monthly financial forecasting of all France and Benelux markets ensuring timely and accurate cross functional input and output, synthesizing insights, creating presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data and presenting clear take-outs to help your business partners make better decisions;
  • You find it easy to switch between detailed analyses and a strategical long term view while monitoring, investigating and understanding underlying drivers of variances versus previous year and strategical plan by using sophisticated analyses to clearly picture and explain opportunities and risks and recommend corrective action accordingly;
  • You drive improvement processes to further automate, standardize and simplify output for accurate and insightful analyses via monthly reporting packs, operational performance indicators and real-time dashboards to highlight key information on for example price, volume and mix variances;

The Team

As a Financial Analyst you will be part of the France & Benelux Business Controlling team within the Western Europe Cluster and report to the FBNL Business Control Team lead. The team is responsible for the forecasting process and creating, analyzing and sharing timely, accurate, and meaningful management information, including the monthly Head Office reporting, quarterly forecasts and information flows to external parties. This process supports decision making and ensures senior management always has the latest insight in regard to our financial performance. While based in Oosterhout (NL) and supporting the Benelux markets you will be working in a truly international team working together with people based in Mechelen, Paris and Madrid.

  • Your advanced Excel financial modeling skills make it easy for you to shape complex large data sets into clear financial forecasts and reports;
  • Your strong analytical skills and natural curiosity help you to come to the root of a problem and the story it tells, you have an eye for detail and are able to see the bigger picture;
  • You have the desire to understand the why and how of an activity, connect processes and bring the right people together to learn and improve the way we work and identify opportunities that can further drive our business;
  • You’re a real team player and a strong communicator both verbally and in writing (fluency in Dutch and English is essential and in French a pre);
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and manage your time effectively, planning and prioritizing tasks to deliver on promises;
  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in business economics;
  • You have experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a FMCG environment;
  • Your affinity with information systems make it easy for you to get the appropriate insights from various sources like SAP, Power-BI and Group reporting systems.
