The Role

The AGP (Assessments, Guidance and Permissions) Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing product material and specification approval requests against internal Assessments, Guidance and Permissions (AGP) guidelines and country specific ingredient legislation and collating dossiers of information to enable risk assessment by AGP toxicologists. Dossiers are collated by liaising between internal specialists and external material suppliers to obtain all the information required. To manage the electronic storage of assessment related information.

Principal Accountabilities

• Monitor the database for new product material and specification approval requests and expedite in a timely manner to meet defined KPI targets.
• Obtain supplier information on materials under AGP assessment. Ensure timely acquisition of such information
• Review material and specification approval requests against the Standard of Care and applicable country specific ingredient legislation maintained in the database
• Track and progress all AGP product material and specification approval requests. Suggest improvements to optimise the administrative aspects of the assessment process.  Liaise between AGP toxicologists and the Regulatory Reporting Team, including on instances of change control
• Collate dossiers of material information to enable risk assessment by AGP toxicologists and ensure the appropriate archiving of documents and records according to company management systems policies
• Participate in the process for liaising with suppliers to put in place Confidentiality Agreements where applicable
• Effectively communicate the status of assessments to internal and external stakeholders
• Use the compliance systems to enable the processing of approval requests. To support system maintenance and improvement activities, including workshop attendance and system testing
• Participate in and lead process/system improvement, business development and innovation projects, including LEAN working group activities
• Support with various ad hoc tasks and answering queries on the subject of compliance assessments

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working with large datasets and analysing complex data
• Experience working with a variety of different databases
• Good computer skills, especially with Excel
• Highly organised and systematic in approach
• Excellent telephone skills
• Attention to detail
• Scientific / technical background would be beneficial, not essential
• Able to work under time pressure to meet tight deadlines
