The Role

Imperial Brands is an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees who are looking for a Compliance Executive to join the team in Bristol.

The Integrity Risk and Compliance Team is a key constituent in combatting illicit trade, fulfilling Imperial’s legal and regulatory obligations in relation to a broad range of risks and reducing Imperial’s exposure to potentially punitive (regulatory) financial penalties.

The Compliance Executive is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Imperial Brands’ central risk compliance solutions.

Principal Accountabilities

• Day-to-day administration of Imperial’s central compliance solutions to ensure a consistent application of the relevant policies and standards across the business;
• Act as the main ‘go to’ for compliance systems enquiries (e.g., SAP MDG, Business Partners Approvals), data maintenance and user support;
• Provide ongoing project support to relevant compliance projects and programmes and develop the required communication and training materials to support implementation;
• Support the automated watchlist screening process - engage with relevant business functions to obtain accurate and relevant data, assess all risks identified and escalate where appropriate; 
• Conduct system-based due diligence for customers, suppliers and other third-parties to identify potential risks or red flags that may have a detrimental impact on Imperial Brands PLC;
• Maintain formal records of due diligence reports and associated correspondence.

Skills and Experience Required

• A good understanding of Imperial’s legal and regulatory responsibilities, corporate responsibilities, and Group Policies.
• Excellent research and analytical skills and a proficient Excel user
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate research findings to inform & influence.
• Strong attention to detail and experience handling databases
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliveries in fast paced environment.
• Self-starter with good time management skills with analytical and investigative nature.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively within a team environment and on a cross-functional, and multi-cultural basis.
